About the team 👋

You will be part of the Sales Operations team responsible for building relationships with potential clients in various industrial sectors and markets. You will work closely with our Business Development and Customer Success teams throughout the customer journey. As Samotics continues to expand, you will also have room for professional development and internal growth.

Your challenge 🎯

Your primary focus will be on initiating initial conversations in our key industries and markets, playing a pivotal role in accelerating our commercial growth. You will:

  • Generate and develop commercial leads:
    • You will engage with potential clients on a daily basis, utilizing a consultative selling approach to understand their needs, effectively communicate our products’ benefits and guide them through our sales process.

  • Support our commercial efforts with our strategic partner ABB
    • As a Business Development Representative, you will support our commercial efforts in collaboration with our strategic partner, ABB. Your key responsibilities include providing sales support to ABB representatives and working closely with our ABB team to ensure a smooth process in landing deals. This role is pivotal in driving successful partnerships and contributing to our growth.

  • Specialize in our focus sector, the water industry and research other market segments:
    • You will target a specific sector such as the water industry in the German or French geography. You will collaborate with the associated Business Development Managers to streamline the conversion of specific deals.

    • You will also work with Business Development Managers to explore new market segments, examine relevant potential customers, and execute a go-to-market strategy.

  • Support our back-end sales processes:
    • You will assist in automating sales processes and implementing innovative client engagement strategies. You will use data-driven insights to propose changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.



Job requirements

What you'll bring ⭐

  • MSc or MA degree with good results.

  • At least 1 year working experience in a similar commercial role - ideally in a B2B setting

  • Demonstrable analytical skills and strong communication abilities.

  • Strong interest in a commercial role and working with clients.

  • Proactive and hands-on attitude, with an eagerness to learn.

  • Enjoy a dynamic, high-growth environment.

  • Demonstrable affinity with technology and our values.

  • Fluency in English and at least one other language (German, French, Spanish or Portuguese)
