Lead Asset Reliability Specialist

    • Leiden, Netherlands
  • Customer Journey

Job description

Hi, we are Samotics!

Our AI-driven solutions help industrial companies cut energy waste, prevent pollution, and eliminate unplanned downtime. With a mission to reduce global energy consumption by 15%, we're leading in technological innovation.

About the team 👋

As the Lead Asset Reliability Specialist (ARS), you will play a crucial role in delivering high quality insights and advice to our customers about their assets’ reliability, operational performance and energy efficiency. You lead a team of engineers and with this team you are responsible for monitoring the condition of critical industrial assets for our customers.

The Team works closely together with our customers. They understand in detail the monitored electric machines, driven equipment (pumps, conveyors, fans, compressors,  etc.) and processes in which these operate. Based on this understanding, they will analyze the alarms that are triggered by our algorithms on upcoming failures, diagnose the best situation and advise the customer on adequate maintenance actions in order to prevent failure and unplanned downtime.

Your challenge 🎯

As the Lead of this team, your responsibilities are threefold

  1. You will act as the leader of this team: Dividing the workload among your team members, assuring the quality of the work delivered, tracking performance of the team, helping your team members grow personally and professionally, writing performance reviews and representing the team in broader company settings

  2. We also expect you to carry part of the load yourself. We believe you can only excel as a Leader by also doing the actual work. This means you will also be responsible for monitoring the assets of a subset of our customers, doing the analysis and diagnosis and communicating with our customers.

  3. Finally, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the ARS processes and the service the team delivers to our customers. You will proactively find opportunities, assess the feasibility and implement. In this regard, you will work closely with our Data Scientists and Electrical Signature Specialists on improving our detection capabilities and with our Product Teams on improving our tooling and dashboarding.
