Revenue Operations Specialist

Job description

Own the CRM. Power the pipeline. Turn commercial data into revenue.

About Samotics πŸ‘‹

At Samotics, we monitor industrial equipment through Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA). Our AI analyses the electrical "heartbeat" of motors, pumps, and drives to catch faults early.

Our SAM4 platform detects failures inside the motor control cabinet, with no sensors on the asset itself. Today we monitor thousands of assets across industries such as water, chemicals, mining, and oil & gas.

As we scale globally, our go-to-market engine has to match our technical ambition. That engine runs on our CRM.

The RoleπŸ‘₯

Samotics sells into complex industrial markets with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buying groups. The system that holds it together is HubSpot: accounts, contacts, pipeline, campaigns and revenue.

We are looking for someone to run HubSpot as a live, business-critical system and push it further. Not just keeping it clean and trustworthy, but building an increasingly automated system around our commercial activities. You use HubSpot to the fullest and explore what other tools can raise the quality of the setup. Today that centres on sales. Over time it extends to customer success too.

This role is part CRM owner, part revenue operations, part reporting. You work alongside the Commercial Lead and the AI Automation Engineer, who builds our signal-based lead generation engine. You run that engine operationally inside HubSpot, and you own the reporting that proves it works.

Your Challenge🎯

  1. Run the CRM

Be the go-to owner of HubSpot as a live, business-critical system. Clear processes, clean data, and automation that keeps the commercial org moving.

Examples include:

  • Leveraging our Claude integration and AI tooling as far as possible to improve the CRM and automate the work that runs through it

  • Owning the CRM setup, data model, and account hierarchies, plus the commercial processes inside it: lifecycle stages, deal stages, handoffs, and definitions

  • Guarding data quality. The numbers are only as good as the hygiene

  • Building workflow automation and AI-assisted enrichment, segmentation, and account intelligence that cut repetitive commercial work

  • Supporting account-based outreach and conversion across the funnel, from first touch to SQL

  • Managing administration: permission sets, sandbox and production discipline, integrations, and change control

  • Acting as point of contact for our HubSpot CSM, managing the subscription, and proactively reducing admin and workload

  • Running periodic check-ins with the BDMs and keeping the system healthy as the commercial org grows

2. Run the Lead Generation Engine Operationally

The AI Automation Engineer builds our signal-based lead generation engine. Your job is to run it operationally inside HubSpot and keep it running.

Examples include:

  • Operationalising enrichment and routing workflows inside HubSpot

  • Building workflow automation and AI-assisted enrichment, segmentation, and account intelligence that cut repetitive commercial work

  • Supporting account-based outreach and funnel conversion from first touch to SQL

  • Turning incoming buying signals into structured, qualified pipeline for the BDMs

  • Running lead qualification and routing so leads reach the right person

  • Monitoring the motions, catching failures early, and iterating

  • Keeping the engine durable so it runs without heroics

3. Own commercial reporting

Make the CRM a source of truth that Finance and the commercial team can rely on.

Examples include:

  • Owning a real-time commercial pipeline as the single source for revenue visibility, bookings and ARR forecasting, feeding both commercial planning and finance runway work

  • Commercial scorecards that drive internal performance and update meetings

  • Connecting marketing and outbound activity to pipeline through reliable attribution, including website and campaign reporting

  • Live dashboards joining commercial and finance data to support go-to-market and commercial decisions

  • Monthly reporting serving both internal reviews and external investor audiences

  • Attribution that ties marketing and outbound activity back to pipeline, bookings and recognised revenue

  • One documented, consistent and defensible set of reporting definitions and metrics shared across commercial and finance

  • Being the person who can answer "where does this number come from?" without hesitation

Example Tools & Stack

You may work with tools such as:

  • HubSpot (your home base)

  • Clay

  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Claude

  • LLM APIs and AI automation tools

  • Odoo

  • Workflow automation platforms

  • Custom scripts or lightweight data pipelines

Job requirements

What You Bring β

You combine commercial understanding with strong systems thinking. You take pride in running a system well, not just touching it.

Key capabilities include:

  • 2–3 years in RevOps, GTM Ops, CRM ownership, or a commercial sales or growth operations role

  • Deep, hands-on HubSpot experience, across both administration and architecture (this is non-negotiable)

  • A track record of running a CRM as a live system, not just executing tasks in one

  • Strong reporting and analytics skills, ideally including finance-facing pipeline and revenue reporting

  • Experience building and maintaining workflow automation

  • Strong experience with B2B data sourcing, enrichment, and segmentation

  • Familiarity with AI tools, LLM workflows, and automation platforms

  • An obsession with data quality and operational detail

  • Comfortable running and improving a system day to day, not just setting it up

What Makes This Role Unique

  • You run the CRM that a global industrial AI company depends on

  • You own the reporting that Finance and the commercial team trust

  • You work directly with the Commercial Lead and the AI Automation Engineer

  • You have the autonomy to shape the CRM, the processes, and the tooling

What We Offer πŸš€

  • Make a positive environmental impact by preventing pollution and eliminating unplanned downtime

  • Vibrant and professional company culture based on freedom and responsibility

  • Competitive salary, holidays, and benefits package (incl. pension scheme, parental leave)

  • On-site meals, snacks, and drinks

  • Hybrid and on-site working opportunities

  • Company events: from pub quizzes to chess tournaments and wine tastings, there is always something fun happening

  • Enrolment in our Stock Appreciation Rights (SAR) scheme, allowing you to benefit from a potential exit event

  • In line with our mission, our office is made with 90% recycled material, a three-minute walk from Leiden Central train station
