Our Organization & People foundation

Over the past period a lot has already been achieved in laying the foundation for our Organization & People approach. We have implemented tooling for recruitment, performance reviews and our HR administration. We’ve introduced a salary house, raise guidelines and a formation plan. And last but not least, we’ve created the tools and procedures to support our employees and recruits on a day-to-day basis.

What you’ll do

The Organization & People Developer role is great for ambitious starters in the field of HR/Recruitment. In this role, you will be responsible for all the day-to-day activities related to recruitment, onboarding, relocation, payroll, performance management, employee wellbeing and illness. You’ll be the main point of contact for HR-related questions and the guardian of employee well-being. Furthermore, you will work closely with the rest of the People team on HR Projects and improvements to the employee journey


Your most important responsibilities will include:

  • Employer Branding and Recruitment
    • Create recruitment strategy

    • Make sure the values and culture align with our ideal candidates

    • Define the employee value proposition

    • Manage the full recruitment process

    • Promote and further develop the practice of using interview scripts to minimize bias, and support our hiring managers in building these scripts

    • Screen candidates in a first interview, before they’re passed to the hiring team

    • Communicate offers to successful candidates

  • Culture & values
    • Anchor our company culture and values through resources (such as the employee handbook) and training

    • Enhance our sense of community through events (such as pub quizzes, chess tournaments and SamJam, a bring-your-instrument-to-work session)

  • Relocation
    • Help our international hires relocate to The Netherlands by booking their tickets and helping them find temporary accommodation

    • Take care of visa applications where required

  • Onboarding
    • Plan the onboarding period for our new starters

    • Ensure starters have necessary accounts and equipment on their first day of work

    • Receive starters on their first day in the office and ensure they are ready to get started

  • Payroll
    • Ensure the HR Administration at our payroll provider is kept up to date

    • Work with our payroll provider to ensure salaries are paid accurately and on time

  • Illness
    • Handle the administrative side of short- and long-term illness, absence, and other major employee events

    • Stay in touch with relevant external parties such as the UWV and the insurance company to ensure timely and effective communication where required

  • Learning & development
    • Support the creation and delivery of training (whether in-house or external)

  • Other
    • Work on HR related projects and improvements to the employee journey

    • Answer questions from employees about payroll or HR policies

    • Maintain a solid HR administration and documentation system

    • Ensure the employee handbook and HR handbook stays up to date

    • Handle other administrative tasks as they come up (e.g., providing employer statements for employees who are in the process of buying a house)

The Organization & People Developer will report to the Head of People. You will have a lot of freedom and responsibility in your role, but at the same time work with seasoned HR professionals who can help you when needed.

Requirements

  • A University degree

  • 0-2 years of working experience

  • Demonstrable affinity with HR and Recruitment

  • Fluent in Dutch and English
