About the team 👋

You will lead the Applications & Integrations team, a team of five Fullstack Software Engineer who work in cross-functional scrum teams. You will also be active as an individual contributor in the team, spending significant time as a software engineer.

The team is responsible for our web applications, notifications and API's that bring machine health and energy saving insights to our customers.

Software development is at the core of our organization. Together with data scientists, domain specialists and product owners, the software engineering teams work daily on improving our product.

Your challenge 🎯

As the Lead Software engineer of the Applications & integrations team, you will be responsible for the team’s execution, the quality they produce, and the cadence at which they deliver software, while keeping a hands-on approach. Your key responsibilities:

  • Support and guide the growth of the team and the people on it

  • Promote a culture of trust, autonomy, collaboration and learning

  • Establish good software engineering practices and habits

  • Guide and lead complex software projects

  • Feedback talks, performance reviews and career planning

  • Effective collaboration and communication with other teams

Job requirements

What you'll bring ⭐

  • 5 years experience as software engineer

  • Interest in a people leadership role

  • Solid understanding of modern software engineering principles and best practices

  • Experience building web applications

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Living in, or willing to move to, the Netherlands

Experience with any of the following is a big plus: 

  • Leading a team of engineers
  • Python

  • TypeScript and JavaScript

  • Relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB

  • Cloud (AWS) and Terraform
